The design is largely cubic with various squares and rectangles jutting out from the primary building structure. TORA shou sugi ban, from reSAWN’s [CHARRED NEUTRAL collection](https://resawntimberco.com/shous-sugi-ban-charred-neutral/), maintains a natural color tone with varying depths of revealed wood grain. Off to one side of the residence, TORA shou sugi ban surrounds individual rooms that appear to float off of the side of the structure. Away from the main building and overlooking the yard, the rooms give an intriguing aesthetic from the outside, and provide a more developed view from the inside.
