reSAWN TIMBER co. combines the Japanese technique of charring wood know as SHOU SUGI BAN with hand crafted furniture to create unique pieces. These are 2 time lapse videos of one part of the processes:

HAPPY CAMPER: Pizza, Booze, Vibes, Happiness and reSAWN's CHARRED WOOD
Happy Camper (1209 N. Wells St., Old Town) is a little sister to beloved Lincoln Park pizza joint Homeslice, and the family resemblance is obvious. Both spots have pizza, of course, and there’s the same kind of rustic-kitsch décor scheme. This newbie, however, is massive, big enough to hold people stopping in for a slice and a beer before conquering Division Street and those looking for late-night eats at the end of a long night of bar crawling. Happy Camper features reSAWN’s TAIYO charred wood wall cladding in #2 common grade cypress.

SMARTWOOL's COLORFUL rebranding with reSAWN's CHARRED WOOD
After two decades of success, sock and apparel company SmartWool is rebranding the company. According to a statement released in December, the Colorado-based brand is embracing its essential values and looking to a future of high-octane adventure with the reimagination of its visual identity, including a colorful update to its iconic cowboy logo. SmartWool’s new packaging is slated to hit stores in late June, and a website reskin is planned for the same month.
